The Community Center Advisory Board:
The Board consists of a minimum of seven members; their mission to review operational policy and procedure guidelines for the new Community Center facility. This group also reviews facility amenities, budget expenditures, senior and teen program ideas, special events and alternative programs for alcohol-tobacco and other drug prevention through the Bergen County Municipal Alliance.

SUMMER WORKSHOPS FOR TEENS IN AUGUST

Red Cross Babysitter's Training Certification - Tuesday, August 11th (Registration opening soon)
Ages 11 to 15 years old
Tuesday, August 11 - 8:30 am to 3 pm (6 hour course)

$115  (non-residents $125) - includes all
materials
This certification class provides training in many aspects of childcare:  performing first aid, learning diapering and feeding techniques, handling bedtime issues, choosing safe and age-appropriate toys, tips on interviewing and more.  Each participant will receive the American Red Cross Babysitter's Training Handbook, and easy to carry Emergency Reference Guide and a training CD that provides help in creating a resume and organizing babysitting jobs, along with a printable activity book of games, crafts and songs.

National CSI Camp returns with a one-day classroom and mock crime scene to give students the opportunity to learn how to collect evidence using up-to-date techniques and methodologies to solve a crime.  They will acquire general problem solving skills and learn how physics, geometry, triangles, algebraic math and science disciplines all are used in the process.

H.I.L.T. (Highlights in Leisure Time) is a senior's club sponsored by Ridgewood Parks and Recreation, for Village residents 55 and older. Monthly meetings offer entertainment or informational presentations. Special events include picnics, socials and a variety of trips to dinner theaters, museums, historical sights and sightseeing tours. Annual dues are $15.
