11.  ORDINANCES - INTRODUCTION

 

3242 – Amend Chapter 190 – Land Use and Development –            Revise Requirements for Site Plan Approval –        Exempts wall mounted and building mounted signs        from site plan approval; requires the applicant            to submit an approved site plan or plat to the            Secretary of the Planning Board, which shall be           signed by the Chair and Secretary of the                Planning Board; sets additional time to be               granted for a preliminary major site plan or a            preliminary major subdivision for an area of 50            acres or more; sets requirements for all major            subdivisions; also sets regulations for: roof-        mounted service equipment structures, parking            areas, outdoor storage, the Garden Apartment            Residence District; as well as establishing          Special Regulations

 

 

3243 – Amend Ordinance 3188 – Police Table of               Organization – Amends the Police Table of               Organization to reduce the number of Sergeants        from an amount not to exceed 6 Sergeants to an             amount not to exceed 5 Sergeants

10-47, ARE TO BE ADOPTED BY A CONSENT AGENDA, WITH ONE VOTE BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL.  THERE IS A BRIEF DESCRIPTION BESIDE EACH RESOLUTION TO BE CONSIDERED ON THE CONSENT AGENDA.  EACH RESOLUTION WILL BE READ BY TITLE ONLY:

 

10-31          Award Contracts – Recreation Division Program        Instruction – Awards contracts to various            vendors for Recreation Program instruction             for 2010.  It reserves the right for the           Recreation Department to negotiate fees with              these vendors throughout the year.

10-32          Award Contract – Printing for Municipal                   Election (Not to Exceed $13,767) - Awards a               contract to Printing Craftsmen, Inc., 130              Bergen Boulevard, Fairview, NJ 

10-33          Title 59 Approval – Laboratory Analysis                   Services - Approves the plans and                         specifications for Laboratory Analysis                    Services prepared by the Department of Water             Supply

10-34          Award Contract – Laboratory Analysis Services        (Not      to Exceed $31,644) – Awards a contract               to the lowest responsible bidder, Aqua Pro-              Tech      Laboratories, 1275 Bloomfield Avenue,           Fairfield, NJ

 

 

 

 

 

10-35          Title 59 Approval – Coach Bus Transportation              Services – Approves the plans and                         specifications for Coach Bus Transportation               Services prepared by the Department of Parks             and Recreation

10-36         Award Contract – Coach Bus Transportation            Services (Not to Exceed $17,072) – Awards a               contract the lowest responsible bidder,                 Vanderhoof Transportation Co., Inc., 18                Wilfred Street, West Orange, NJ

10-37          Approve Budget Reserve Transfers – Annual            resolution which transfers money in the 2009              budget from departments which have excess              funds to those departments which do not have            adequate funds

10-38          Accept Gift – Estate of Norman Kasschau –            Accepts a gift from the Estate of Norman           Kasschau in the amount of $15,000 and                  authorizes the Mayor and Village Clerk to           execute an Indemnification Agreement to                   indemnify the Executor of the Estate against              any claims made against the Estate

10-39          Approve Encroachment Agreement – Super                    Cellars -     32 South Broad Street – Approves an        Encroachment Agreement for a retractable           awning, the relocation of goose neck lighting      fixtures, and the placement of four planters              into the Village’s right of way on South             Broad Street and authorizes execution of this          Encroachment Agreement

10-40          Approve Volunteer Tuition Credit Program for              Emergency Medical and Firefighter Volunteers              - Approves the Volunteer Tuition Credit                    Program set forth in P.L. 1998, c. 145 for             volunteer firefighters and emergency medical               volunteers in the Village of Ridgewood.  This        program will be administered by Kenneth A.              Gabbert, Village Manager, and will be no cost          to the Village of Ridgewood.

10-41          Approve Shared Services Agreement – Traffic               and Signal Services (Ridgewood Board of                   Education) - Authorizes a Shared Services               Agreement with the Ridgewood Board of                Education for the services of a licensed             electrician and skilled building maintenance              & repair personnel from the Village’s Traffic       and Signal Division

 

 

 

 

10-42          Approve Shared Services Agreement – Vehicle               Fueling, Maintenance, and Repair (Ridgewood               Board of Education) - Authorizes the Village             of Ridgewood to enter into a Shared Services            Agreement with the Ridgewood Board of                Education for designated vehicle fueling, and        maintenance and repair services to designated          vehicles owned by the Ridgewood Board of           Education

10-43          Approve Shared Services Agreement – Vehicle               Fueling, Maintenance, and Repair (Midland            Park) - Authorizes the Village of Ridgewood             to enter into a Shared Services Agreement           with the Borough of Midland Park to provide               designated vehicle fueling, maintenance and               repair services to designated vehicles owned              by the Borough of Midland Park

10-44          Approve Shared Services Agreement – Vehicle               Maintenance and Repair (Waldwick Fire                Department) - Authorizes the Village of                  Ridgewood to enter into a Shared Services              Agreement with the Borough of Waldwick’s Fire           Department for designated vehicle maintenance        and repair services to designated Waldwick            Fire Department vehicles

10-45          Approve Change Order #1 – Microbial                  Conditions Remediation – 33 Douglas Place            ($2,769) – Approves a change order to the              original contractor, Greenwood Abatement               Consultants, 268 Main Street, Butler, NJ for              additional remediation of carpet in the front        office containing mold and additional                  remediation of ceiling board in the kitchen              area containing mold which had to be removed

10-46          Reassign Contract with HJGA Consulting to            Connolly & Hickey, Historical Architects –           Historic Preservation Services – Train                   Station Roofs – Reassigns all contracts with           HJGA Consulting for Phase II of the                  restoration of the Train Station roofs for           the train station to Connolly & Hickey,                   Historical Architects due to a change in name          of the original company

10-47          Authorize Execution of Federal Aid Agreement              – Historic Train Station Roof Replacement –            Authorizes the Village Manager to execute the       Federal Aid Agreement with NJ Department of               Transportation in order to receive a Federal              Aid Grant in the amount of $376,000 which            grant money will be used for the Ridgewood             train station roof replacement project
